Storing and Deploying Coiled Hose

The QuickLay Packs

The QuickLay Packs can be used seperately or together to rapidly lay and coil existing fire hose.

Depending on the incident a different QuickLay technique can be adopted:

While the best hose lay strategy will vary from incident to incident, remaining constant is the need to fulfil two common requirements:

1. Stretch (Lay) hose between a pressurised water supply and an area at or near to the entry point of the hostile environment (smoke & fire).

  • Big Lay Pack and/or Lay Pack

2. Deploy (coil) hose in such a manner that allows fire fighters to advance into the hostile environment without tangles, kinks or excess friction or catch points.

  • Attack Pack

The QuickLay System is the first end-to-end solution for these common hose lay requirements.

Using the Attack Pack with the Lay Pack the QuickLay Packs give fire fighters the ability to deploy two fire attack lines (60m/200 ft) in less than 60 seconds.

Hose from the Lay Pack is deployed ‘on-the-fly’ as the fire fighter travels in a direction - The hose can be ready to charge as quickly as the fire fighter covers the distance.

The Attack Pack deploys a coil and can be easily advanced into the fire affected compartment.

If required the Big Lay Pack can be used to stretch a larger hose towards the fire and can then be controlled with a gated wye/breeching piece. This gives additional crews the ability to get to work instantly from the second outlet.

Our three innovative fire storage devices synergise to set the new industry standard in rapid, kink and tangle-free fire hose deployment.
