Hose Laid and Coiled Quick!
The Initial QuickLay technique starts by stretching preconnected flaked hose from a fire appliance by one fire fighter to a point at or near to the fire entry point where another fire fighter deploys the Attack Pack.
This technique gives fire fighters 60m or 200" of charged hose, deployed usually in less than 60 seconds around corners, over locked gates and up or down stairs.
Initial QuickLay Application:
The forward hose lay technique is applied when there is smoke and fire evident and immediate hose deployment is required.
The decision to forward or reverse lay the attack line is based weather or not the exact location of the fire is known.
